Photobox have been running a 24 images in 24 hours challenge - would have loved to do it all but i was at work for most of it without any capabilities to upload to the site... just managed two this morning and due to silly internet speed only my first one got in!
"wake-up"
"wrapped up"

1. Love
2. Family
3. Friends
4. Hope
5. Grace
6. Creativity
7. Music
8. Reading

Graveyard
I recently acquired my Granda's old camera a Olympus OM2 which is awesome! I gave up on reading the instruction manual and took it out to test in a graveyard. I really like the colours and the light in the second one

I've handed all my work in to be marked, just waiting on the exhibition opening on Friday! While I'm waiting I'm going to update my website and my images on the course website. I have just made a profile on the University Graduates page: http://showtime.arts.ac.uk/jenniferamball

Penultimate Residue
Reshoot of The Clearing with an older model because I felt like the previous young woman instantly became the protagonist of the story. The viewer might link images together when shown in a set. In my final MA I'm going to show a set of seven images. Some of these include various hands - which could be assumed to be the young woman's. As it is my aim to keep the narrative fragmented, I thought I should reshoot with someone older to differentiate between the pictures a bit better.
Still working on titles - i like the idea of the penultimate and never being an ultimate... like an unfinished story...

The Clearing
After a tutorial the other day I realised it's a good idea to work on my titles for my work now while i'm in the safety of uni. I don't tend to give my work titles i stick to, or titles at all...I find them scary! However I do use titles on my blog, to separate my work. I don't find this as scary i guess because it doesn't feel so permanent. I am going to do some brainstorming today on titles for my final piece... not sure whether to title each individual image or as a set.

New Studio
Moved into a new studio this week which is where the Camberwell Fine Art MA show will be held.
I fractured my images that use computer game imagery to write "GAME OVER".... bit final and depressing... think I need to move into a happier and more productive head space!

Read all the Words
I have started a new blog linked to this one called 'Read all the Words'.
This is inspired from speaking to writer and critique Sally O Reilly. I will use this blog to hone my creative writing skills and I have just written my first post on there so please take a look!

My First Solo Zine!!
I spent most of the day compiling my first solo zine. It plays on the colloquial word 'bare' used to mean 'a lot' and replaces that with the word and image of a 'bear' as in the animal. It took a long time to get the ordering of the pages. I think my next project will be to use this technique to make a photobook

Trapped Bear
this it more natural than the shot with the sheep mask, but needs a re-think about how to approach it - this is going to be harder than i thought!
sheep with balloons
I'm experimenting taking 'portraits' with these masks i've used before for group shots... I think this shot lacks movement and as a consequence looks too staged. Showed it to Danny Treacy in tutorial, he liked it, I might re stage without the bsm car on a longer road.

Collaboration Work With Tracey Payne and Nicola Plant
www.flickr.com/photos/50098258@N08/5378468568/in/contacts/
For the Woodmill 3D experirimental drawing workshop we actually managed to collaborate. We produced mainly a ladder covered in cellophane with various cylindrical objects and flashing bike lights underneath. however, Nicky and Tracey both fixed some tendrils of rope and other object which linked the sculpture across the space and intermingled with others work. Proud that after the Loz Gasquez, 'collaboration' became a horrible word, good to overcome it!
